In November 2023, the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) contributed to a global undergraduate student competition on disinformation, organized by William & Mary’s Global Innovation Challenge (WMGIC) in partnership with NATO.
The fourth annual Global Disinformation Challenge brought together students from 35 teams across 16 countries to develop innovative solutions to pressing disinformation challenges. Organized into six streams, teams confronted disinformation in Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Russia-Ukraine War, Public Health, Sexism and Gender-Based Violence GBV), Terrorism, and Human Rights.
