German Minister of Defence visited Cyber Defence Centre in Tallinn, Estonia

German Minister of Defence Mr Franz Josef Jung visited the Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence in Tallinn accompanied by the Minister of Defence of Estonia Mr Jaak Aaviksoo.

Mr Jung got aquinted with the centre's focus areas and the German contribution to the centre's activities. Minister of Defence of Estonia highlighted the importance of cyber defence on the international agenda. „Nations will become more dependent on cyberspace. We are very thankful to Germany for their support and work in the Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence,” said Mr Aaviksoo.

„Germany is one of the seven nations contributing since the founding of the centre and an important partner in finding solutions to cyber related matters for the Alliance,” said the Director of the CCDCOE Lieutenant Colonel Ilmar Tamm.

CCD COE is an International Military Organisation (IMO), fully accredited by NATO’s North Atlantic Council on the 28th of October, 2008.  CCD COE is located in Tallinn, Estonia on the premises of Estonian Signals Battalion.
